I Bet This Guy Wishes We Could Beat The Bottle

This image is from the remote island of Midway Atoll. This island has provided us with a profound and symbolic environmental tragedies of our time: the deaths by starvation of thousands of albatrosses who mistake floating plastic trash for food. This image is port of the project called Midway, a film about the island and cleanup its cleanup project. The images and video are powerful enough, so I leave you with them.

  1. Simply astounding! On a fishing trip with a magazine I was writing for we happened upon a beach near New Caledonia that simply breathed tiny bits of pan-ocean plastic. Nobody lives there, yet it is suffering from greed and pollution kilometres and kilometres away
